FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions
How long will the fit take?
Every kitchen or bedroom is different. In general a week is the average length of an installation, however factors such as the amount of preparation of the room requires such as moving walls, plastering, electrical works and so will vary. As part of the quote we will give an estimate of the length of the job.
How much will it cost?
We give each job a free of charge survey where we establish what is required to complete the plan provided by the kitchen/bedroom supplier. As part of the survey, we complete an on line form which will give an itemised estimate of the job. This then double checked in the office and emailed to you. Because it is itemised its very easy to see what can be added or removed to meet your requirements and budget.
Do you charge more to build flat pack cabinets?
No. We have found that while rigid (pre-built) cabinets have certain advantages, they can take longer to modify if the design requires that a unit needs to be customised in order to fit around pipes for example or accommodate a sink or appliance. This is especially true with Howdens cabinets as they are doweled and glued with certain joints reinforced with corrugated metal staples. Additionally we have found that certain drawer runner systems are susceptible to installation dust/dirt, so are better fitted towards the end of the job.
How can I save money on your installation price?
Dependent on your DIY abilities, removing your existing kitchen, disposing of all the rubbish generated from the fit, preparing the walls and floor for new coverings and decorating are areas that are relatively straight forward and can save several hundred pounds.
Can you guarantee that my job will be done quickly?
We work hard to minimise the disruption caused during the installation, and always keep you advised of any issues encountered. Our experience, knowledge of the industry and spares inventory also help keep the job moving if components are missing/damaged. Also we try hard not to have multiple jobs running at the same time which means we give 100% to the job at hand. At the end of the installation we want you to recommend us to your friends and family - it’s the best type of advertising that money can’t buy.

Tiles & Flooring
We don’t supply tiles, however we have partnered with Caversham/Wokingham Tiles and Hampshire Tile Warehouse. When you select your tiles from either supplier we will advise of the quantities required and arrange for the tiles to be delivered and fitted by our tiler.
Additionally we do recommend and supply and fit Karndean flooring which we think is particularly suited to the rigours of a kitchen.
What steps are there to getting my kitchen installed?
Following acceptance of our quote and payment of the deposit, we will set the technical survey and installation dates. The technical survey confirms the state of the electrical, plumbing and gas services which may need updating to bring into line with current regulatory standards. The fit date is generally a few days after the delivery of the kitchen/bedroom. In this way we can make sure we have a complete room to install after we have taken the old one out!
What guarantees do you give on your work?
All workmanship has a 1 year written guarantee. All products have the manufacturers warranty which we support. Additionally we have £2 million Public Liability, £50,000 Professional Indemnity and £10 million Employers Liability insurance.
